What's your favorite hike?
Lake Haiyaha in Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s 4.2 miles round-trip, and has lakes, forests, and rivers along the way. Lake Haiyaha itself is an incredible green color—you can swim or ice skate there depending on the time of year!
What do you wear on the trails?
My Julia Hoodie is really cozy. I wear it hiking in this Colorado spring weather and when I’m at home relaxing. I love my Gabi Reversible Top and Gigi Bottom swimsuit because both pieces of the suit are reversible. I love that I can wear the black or the floral design, depending on what I feel like that day. The fit is perfect and the fabric is super soft. I even wear the Gabi Top hiking on the way to the hot springs because it fits like a sports bra.

It’s so hard to pick a favorite hike, but if I had to choose it would be Rawson Lake in Kananaskis Country, Alberta because it has so many beautiful views for minimal effort! It starts at Upper Kananaskis Lake and offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The well-defined trail continues from there and gains about 320 meters in elevation by the time you get to the lake. You’ll pass Sarrail Falls before reaching Rawson Lake, a pristine alpine lake surrounded by peaks. Not only is the entire trail beautiful, but I love that it is the perfect moderate length at 8 km (5 miles) round-trip and it is accessible year-round.
What do you wear on the trails?
I’m looking forward to wearing the Hallie Hoodie Sunshirt for added sun protection on hikes this coming summer and taking the Chelsea One Piece Swimsuit on a hike to a waterfall once the temperatures warm up! Typically on hikes, I am wearing comfortable leggings and/or shorts with a sweat-wicking breathable top! I like to layer with insulating layers if the temperatures are colder with a waterproof shell on top.

Where do you love to hike?
Remember watching the Clearing House Sweepstakes, when an Ed McMahon-type would show up on a rural American doorstep brandishing an enormous check and a fist full of balloons? The check would be made out for like $7,000 and people would scream, hug, and jump in the air, hips permitting; sometimes the people on the other side of the door were very elderly. Do you remember that? Is it just me?
Well, that’s what hiking in Bend, Oregon is like. You walk outside your door, and it’s the equivalent of Ed McMahon holding a cumbersome cardboard image with 7k printed on it. Go left, and you have the entire Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway with countless breathtaking trails. Go right, and you can hike Pilot Butte, a state park in the city’s center. But my favorite hike is the Deschutes River Trail for a quick hit of nature without driving far. The whole loop is around 4 miles, and considered easy. It’s mostly shaded which is a welcome respite on warm days, and sometimes, you can even spot an otter or, if lucky, a beaver swimming in the current.
What's your go-to trail gear?
I’m obsessed with my Krimson Klover hiking essentials! The Mae Swim Activity Shirt is a game-changer. It’s not just a layer for warm days; it’s also a shield with built-in sun protection, so I can skip the SPF on my arms! I pair it with my trusty Gabi Reversible Top, that keeps everything snug and in place, if you know what I mean. To complete the ensemble, I slip into the Somerset Swim Shorts, the perfect solution for a warm hike that might end with a refreshing dip in the river. With this gear, plus a handful of trail snacks, I’m ready for an adventure.

My favorite hike is Ice Lake Basin up in the San Juan Mountain range in Colorado near Ouray and Silverton. This trail weaves through the forest and wide open fields filled with the most beautiful wildflowers, and features waterfalls and creeks throughout. What makes this hike super unique is that Ice Lake is filled with the most stunning turquoise blue water I’ve ever seen! I also love how you can tack on a little extra mileage and swing by Island Lake, which in my opinion is a must-do! This trail is 8.3 miles out-and-back with 2,877 ft of elevation gain, so it leans towards the difficult side but the views are worth the effort!
What gets you hike-ready?
My go-to Krimson Klover gear on the trails is the Sienna 7” Shorts paired with the Nina Racerback Tank. I love that my Sienna Shorts are moisture resistant, are made with durable fabric, and have plenty of pockets! Everytime I wear these shorts out on the trail I get tons of compliments. They’re super comfy no matter what outdoor activity you’re participating in. My favorite feature of the Nina Racerback Tank is the built-in bra which is essential to me for a day out in the mountains. It also has 4-way stretch and is made with very breathable fabric!
