We spend a lot of time outdoors; paddle boarding, gardening, and sailing, just to name a few of our favorite activities. As we are active outside, our skin soaks up the sun. We love it, but too much unprotected exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause skin damage, and so our design team decided it was important to create a collection of cute, but functional styles specifically designed for our outdoor adventures.
As you’ve shopped our Spring/Summer collection, you may have seen UPF 50+ or UPF 40+ in some of our favorite style’s product descriptions. Krimson Klover strives to provide the best product possible, so in these efforts, our team used 3rd party testing with one of the top labs in Asia to make sure these styles have the sun protection that meet our standards.
UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) is a numerical rating given to clothing to indicate how effectively the fabric blocks the ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The table below illustrates the different UPF protection ranges and the percentage UV blocked.
